Default my truck is like a teen...jk

it is misbehaving...

when i shift into third it goes into fifth gear. when i shift into 5th
it makes a loud grinding noise.

it also sets car alarms off when i drive down the road.

it also won't peel the tries, the transmission just turns.

the brake lights stay on due to a less than 1/16" movement on the pedal.

and when i rev her up, she almost dies on the way back down.

looks like i gotta long list to work on...

Was the shift tower put on the right way? Thats definately an odd problem to have.

Care to elaborate?

A manual transmission cannot turn without the driveshaft also turning unless a gear is sheared. The only thing that can slip is the clutch, again, unless a gear is sheared.

Adjust the switch.

the car alarm thing was just because my truck has an exhaust leak and was in 3rd on the bottom end of the gear. i caught it on video too. the shift tower i believe is on backwards but the way i have the shifter set up the tower is reversable, do you know which way the offset is supposed to be? i wasn't trying to spin the tries, it was a just a quick take off to keep from holding traffic up, but the transmission literally turned. how do i adjust the brake switch, loosen a screw? and lastly the iac is what i was leaning towards.

Lol, gotcha. I set someone's car alarm off one time with the stereo in my old car! 8 total speakers, 2400 watts

If it were me, I'd turn it around to see if the problem goes away!

Thats odd. Are you 100% sure the tires were not spinning? Maybe they were just being quiet and not squealing?

I'm not sure, never tried, but I know its been brought up before. Maybe someone else will have more input?

i figured out the brake switch, it by accident too. the tires weren't spinning cuz the truck was rolling forward. i think the trans loosened the bolts that hold it down to the mount.

my friend asked me how i set car alarms off with my truck, being a smart @$$ ftm i told him cuz i smashed into the m while driving by...lol

my last set of tires i had on broke traction all the time, even doing turns at idle speed. but they were so bald they were classified as slicks...lol

my new tires only do on turns and if i punch it hard enough going straight they will.

when i go to my dads house this weekend, i'm sure he'll get them to lay tracks up his driveway(he did it with my daytona one day)

also found out my mom doesn't have cancer, actually the doctors don't know whats wrong at all but all the blood work came back non-cancerous...

You and Mythbusters need to merge and test out more uses for Duct tape on cars.
