While you are doing this mod, you should also modify the wiring so that the low and high beams circuits have a relay in them.
Under stock Chrysler wiring, all the current for the low and high beams goes through the headlight switch, which is probably why so many people have trouble with them burning up. (Literally melting, sometimes)
