Default Amazingly stupid/easy overheating fix

So for quite a while now my truck has run a little hot (about 12:30 on the gauge which equates to around 205-210 if I remember correctly). I had swapped to an electric fan a while back and just assumed that it wasn't quite able to keep up so I was going to add another fan between the condenser and radiator. Well upon inspection the fins in the radiator were completely caked up with dirt/bugs etc... I took about 5 minutes and scrubbed it out with a brush and now I'm running around 11:30 on the gauge or 195 = thermostat temp. I plan on yanking the radiator to do a more thorough job of cleaning it out but what a difference that little bit made.

Good work... This should be able to help, especially when you dont have the funds to go out and buy a new one!

One thing to keep in mind for anyone who is thinking about doing the same... those fins are very easy to bend! Don't scrub too hard and don't use a high pressure washer to clean out a radiator!
