For the v6 yes, but the 4 banger in 88 was also carbed...

Schmacher makes mounts, for $400 a set....
I sneaked a peak under a shelby dakota and what they did was add an extra crossmember in front of the stock one, right behind where the sway bar mounts. It is an odd looking thing, a half circle that fits under the motor right under the crank dampener. Kinda crowds the rack and pinion a bit...
That looks to be fairly easy thing to make, certainly cheaper than Schmacker.
I will be making one soon, will try to draw it up as I go....

Well my truck is EFI with a throttle body, and I've seen the print ads and original marketing stuff for the 88 and the EFI came standard.

But yours is a v6 isn't it? He said it was the 4 banger in '88 thats carbbed. And actually, we had that in FAQ if I had gone to look at it earlier...

I am going by the 88 service manual, they could have switched mid year on the 4 bangers...

You were right. 88 4cly was carbed. Just like the FAQ Quote said and When in doubt check with www.autozone.com
