Oh okay so your keeping your front half of the frame. And just swapping in the 2wd back half to replace the bad rusted areas.

Anyone know where I can get a decent frame for a 90 or 93 Dakota 2wd? I know everyone loves 4wd but honestly. I never go anywhere that I'd ever actually use or need 4wd. Any source near Ohio would be great. Rust is a real problem here.

yeap. i got it done the frame looks good and all, but my rear end on the 4x4 frame was completely shot, not even the perches for the leaf spring and shackles are worthy of anything. but the 2wd ones are. but when i put my 4x4 axle back under the rig on the 2wd perches, it jacks the back end way up, currently my truck is not a drag truck nor do i want it to look like it should be. i would more or less like the truck to be level, but if the back is up slightly i wouldnt mind. i was thinking about just taking the rear perch and flipping it upside down and welding it on, but will this drop it how i am hoping? i figured if need be i could take a 4x4 perch from another frame a buddys got and flip it, but the 2wd perch seems to have more movement with it.

Oh okay. All the info from the beginning would help.

You can flip the axle under the springs but that will put it to a 2wd hight.

I would say get some longer shackles. That will lower the rear end. You won't find anything specific to our trucks. But anything for 2.5 springs and that is longer then the stock shackles will lower it. Some are multi-adjustable. Easy to make your self too.
