I have the same year and the same paint issues as you :-D

I'd like to "patch it" for the time being so it doesnt rust but i dont know how i would go about doig that so i just deal as well

Our Dakota went to the Paint Shop last week and will post before and after pictures when we get it home.

Aww man...did they screw up? Looks like your red pin strip ran all the way down to your door molding. That's too bad.

my 89 convertible needs to be stripped and painted ether this fal, definatly by spring. what should i expect for a cost

It was a big job stripping the truck right down and it was kinda pricey. Also nobody seems to want to do a 2 tone paint job anymore.
