u have another option to sanding or chemicals. i picked up a soda blaster from harbor fraight for 80$ plus the baking soda for it. works great didnt warp the metal or pit it like sand does i'll find some pics.

Yeah, been hearing a lot about soda blasting and I think you are right, it beat the sand.

I am going to have no choice but to rattle can at least some of my truck...its rusting out around the rear wheel wells, and I need to get some Rustoleum or something on there to keep it from spreading until I can do something about it properly. Unfortunately I am poor so proper body work and paint is a LONG time off.
