i looked in the faq section and it said 97 up may work. I am wondering if anyone has used these and what altercations were required for them to work. i looked on ebay and found some for a 91 dakota will they work? thanks

My guess is they will work.

This guy installed a full suspension lift kit which induces the indexed keys, IIRC his is a 88. Check to see if he had to modify anything for them. http://www.walt-n-ingrid.com/modifications.html

 

The site claims you can fit 33s on with just the keys, is that accurate?

 

never found a set for my 89 but did see a post once where someone welded a shim onto the origional set

 

Yes you can fit 33s with just lift keys. You may have to cut the corners of the fenders though. A 2in body lift will clear it.
