coolant leak in 95 5.2 v8

Default coolant leak in 95 5.2 v8

Hi all...recently ive developed a coolant leak coming from the water pump seal i believe. Ive got more pressing things that i have to get fixed first so im looking to see if anyone has used any of those coolant leak in a can ****ty things and if so is there one that actually works? ?? thanks

That stuff will muck up your radiator, do not suggest useing it. i did for a leaking radiator worked for a week or two then had to replace the radiator and spent hours flushing the crap out of my block.

It's meant for leaks in your radiator, heater core, freeze plugs, stuff like that, it won't seal a spinning shaft. You need a new waterpump.

I have a slight coolant leak from one of my rear freeze plugs on the block...but thought it was the water pump for awhile. Now I'm saving to have freeze plugs done.

Yes I agree. And they clog up the heater core too. That has smaller passages than the radiator.

Just replace the water pump.

thats kinda what i thought and knew in my heart but was hoping someone was gonna prove me wrong,,,,crap,,,,oh well. I guess ill view this as an opportunity to learn how to replace a water pump..haha...thx everyone u guys are a great resource!

As do I, it sucks I just put stop leak in it for now, no ill side effects.. Still leaks but it slowed it down a lot, plan to pull the motor in a couple months.

A guy in the 2nd gen ram section had great luck with Bar's Leak sealing a coolant leak from a cracked BLOCK. He knows he's on borrowed time, but the mechanic he took it to said it looks great, like he had it welded.
