A few things.
Seen one on youtube then in my town...so what exactly is the Mark III version and whats so special about it? Besides the sweet *** grill! lol and second..seen 2 Dakotas with 4 inch body lifts by using 2 blocks in place of one. Anyone do this? And if I did and had deep dish rims, any chance I could fit 35x12.50s? I just want everything under the truck to be as far of the ground as possible cause I got stuck in a mudhole cause I bottomed out and taller tires is all I could think of to do lol. And since I'm here, was it only the Sports that came with the front differential skid plate? Any chance you can buy one or just check the local junkyard?
As far as I can remember the Mark 3 is just a body kit. We have this link in the FAQ. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...-mark-iii.html
As for the body lift, sure you could do that. Blue12 made a 6in body lift. But what you have to remember your only lifting the body. The frame/suspension is is still low.
The 35's may be to much tire for the axles to handle. In my opinion 33's is Max on stock axles.
As far as skid plates, no I don't believe it was only sports. I'm not 100% but I think sports were only 2wd. I'm sure someone will correct me.
I found a nice set of 3 in the junkyard. For the Front diff, Transfercase, Gas Tank. I made 2 more. One for the transmission oil pan. And 1 for the radiator under the bumper. And added a side piece to the front diff to cover the engine oil pan.
This is a copy from the FAQ2. The first links are my skid plate writeups with pics.
There are 3 factory skid plates. I made 2 others. All can be seen below.

Or you can custom make your own. I custom made mine.

Thats all it looked like anyway. Kinda cool actually but not my thing. I do love the color scheme on the grill though. As for the lift, would 4 inches be enough to clear 33s with no fender cutting? And I'd prefer a suspension lift, but there arent any good ones, is there? As for the skid plates, I've only seen em on Sports, thats why I ask.
Again the FAQ2 has all the details. But it is simple and cheep. If you get lift keys, and blocks or AAF out back and do the body lift for a good 4in. Then Yes you could clear 33's with no fender cutting. For the links to the keys, body lift check the FAQ2. So $100 keys and blocks or AAL. And $100 for the body lift. $200 for a 4in lift suspension/body lift, not bad at all. The full suspension lift kit is $1,700.
