Code 12 means you unplugged the battery recently. Nothing to worry about.

I have a new problem now, and need your advice.

My headlights do not work, when I first start my truck in the morning. All other interior/exterior lights, including parking lights and blinkers, do work, just not headlights.

I pull/push my headlight switch in/out repeatly, but they don't come on or even blink.

But......... 5 minutes or so down the road, they come on and work fine. Most other times during the day/afternoon they come on first try and work fine. When they work, they are consistant.

Headlight connection are tight, the big fuse looks fine.

I am beginning to believe that my truck is trying to convince me to move from (cold) Kentucky winters to Florida!!!

But seriously, any suggestions.

Don't be afraid to start a new thread since it is not related to the original problem.

The headlight problem can be a bad switch.

I may try a new headlight switch today. Its strange though, most bad switches can be "giggled" and the controlled item will flash on/off. This does not.

ONLY on morning (1st start) cold starts, the headlights won't work for about 5 minutes, then all is fine. Park lights (on the same switch) works fine.

Why would that be?
