I ordered up the 2inch body lift. Is there a reason there is only a 2inch available and not 3inch? I want to run hockey pucks to make up for the remaining inch, will there be a problem with this?? Also for the torsion bar keys, they do not make them for our trucks "apparently" said the local 4x shop. Will the 1996+ keys fit??

You could add pucks for the extra inch. One guy recently did the whole lift with pucks and a trip to the hardware store. You may need some longer bolts for some parts but I'm not sure. They do make keys for our trucks as far as I know. Just Google them or check the FAQ. I believe theres a link to some in there.

I just bought the 2" body lift kit for the truck, can someone please explain the shifter linkage. The directions state, scribe a line on straight part of linkage, cut the linkage and the realign and weld in the spacer(which im assuming is the approx 2" round piece of steel from the kit). so do i make a line down the middle of it, and one down the middle of the extension so i can realign before i weld it?

Also, im not switching to electric fans at this point and time, is there a certain lower radiator hose i need to buy, or can you buy extensions for those as well?

Yes you got the correct idea on the extension piece.

The lower hose actually was to be cut 1in in previous instructions, the newer one doesn't state it. Some had good luck with it fitting by cutting it. I didn't cut and it always fit correctly.

For others that may want the installation instructions here it is.

When we did the 2" hockey puck lift on our 4x4 we didn't run into any problems with the rad hoses. The shifter linkage is pretty simple, just weld in the piece and put it back on.

I've read that for the v8's you have to extend, as well as heard you have to trim, the lower radiator hose or it will interfere with the fan...

Jake, we never had to do anything with our lower rad hose but if you feel that it might be a problem, then why don't you drain the antifreeze and disconnect the rad hose from the rad. Good luck with it.
