Removing Trany without the tranfer case

Default Removing Trany without the tranfer case

I have the engine out and wanting to know if I can uonbolt my 42rh from the tranfer case and slide it forward and bolt up the 46? Also is the 46 going to bolt up to my tranfer case? Please oh please say yes lol

Might have answered my second question but always love verification. Good tranfer case info here.

No you can not remove it together. Just unbolt it. It is simple 6 bolts. Top one is a little hard. But with the engine out you can lift up the bell housing to get the back end down. It literally will only take 5min.
