about to do 3.9-5.9 swap, some questions

If the Ram with the cable is the same around the same year as yours it will work. I have a 94 Rams cable. Yes the transfer case is the same. If I remember right 95-up Rams and Dakotas came with a higher spline count on the rear slip yoke. So you should be okay.

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna try and snag the ram transmission. Guy claims 80k Kms and is asking 350.00 for it

just found out the nv3500 is from a diesel truck, will this work for me?

correct me if i'm wrong but i believe the nv4500 came behind a diesel which requires a 2in body lift(or reshaping of the transtunnel)...
when you get another transmission i would suggest spring for a v8 clutch too. i have a v6 clutch on mine and it lasted a month then everything went to hell and back with it.
and the nv3500 came in a 95+ dodge ram v6 and v8(i got mine from a 96 v6 ram)and 94+ dakota v8

Yeah there was a miscommunication between myself and the seller. Turns out his truck is a diesel and he is parting out a gas ram. So looks like i'll grab it. Now anyone selling a transfercase lol.
