the round end of the sensor that goes inside the bell is where you glue it to. i always just used rtv or the little green button. the new sensor probbly had it on it (usually do.) the part you are referring to is the flexplate. it has the windows cut in it for the sensor to read off of. if it's not round (almost perfect) that could cause it to not read.

thats not a rev limiter. its losing the crank pos sensor. the tak jumping like that does not happen it just lightly bounces nothing light that. and it's no problem man. just keep us posted and i hope that's all there is to it

well ive spent 280 on dodge sensors ans 52 on aftermarket sensor, and the 55 dollar flexplate should fix the problem, i dont want to take transmission out again though.

if there is room for it hammer an easy off on there or maybe try curved jaw pliers. i used a hammer and chissel (on the side of the bolt to turn it the way i wanted) to break bolts loose. worst case scenario you could weld a 1 doller socket to it. done that in a pinch to. maybe a dumb question but you using 6 or 12 point sockets?
