I wonder if that piece of the torque converter is stuck in the trans somewhere?

it is a big chunk. the trans ran fine, just was leaking out in front of the bell housing. Wouldn't it have chomped every thing in side if it was floating around in there? Thats why i pulled it to replace the front seal

are you sure the piece of the torque converter that broke isn't still in the hole? if not then maybe it's wegded in the pump. i'd be tempted to replace the pump just because of the if it were me.

Ok tranny is in, all hooked up. Found that chunk. It was wedged in the hole. Got it out.
Now i have a question on a hose hook up.
On the 4wd there are 4 tubes running from the t-case to the front of truck. On the pass side 2 goes to the front axle. Drivers side it breaks out to two. One is capped with a breather looking valve while the other plugs into soothing. Can anyone tell me or take a pic or draw a diagram where this vac hose goes.
Thanks in advance.

www.autozone.com has a full list of vacuum diagrams. This one should work. It doesn't list the 4wd but look for any hoses/valves not connected.

Wouldn't that corner of the input shaft be collected in the pump? I do not think there is enough room for it to get into the TC.
