Default Front Brake Pads

Put new pads on my 90 V6, the new outside pad did not have the metal keeper (see pic) instead they came with a wire gismo (see pic)that i can not figure out how it attches or where it goes. anyone know how this goes on?

Are you sure it is the correct part number?
Lots of parts are made to fit several different type of vehicles. That clip may not be needed.

The clip is supposed to pull the pad off of your rotor. I installed it without the clip, still driving fine and brakes good...

i left it off also, the pads came with a capilar i bought a year ago and did not use them at the time noticed my PS pads worn so decided to use them. can't figure out how the spring attaches.
it just bugs me when i can't figure something out.

Mine came with those clips to. I couldn't figure out how they went on so I left them off.

my new calipers came with the wire clip thing, there are 2 holes in the caliper that they clip into. its basically to help hold the pad in one spot. i put mine in, but theres really no need for them. I didnt realize until i had them in, and figured to hell with it, they can stay on til i do the pads again haha

Same here with the wire thing, put them in, it's no big deal.
