Default Stock exhaust size?

What is the stock exhaust pipe size for a 1994 dodge dakota (4x4 extended cab)? I'm looking at buying a universal catalytic converter, as emissions are required here and the one I have is rattling and sounds broken up inside.

Default Exhaust

2 inch in and out.

according to this link, the factory muffler is 2 in and out. i would assume that the pipes dont change size.

I looked up the catalytic converters on that site and they say 2.5inch inlet and outlet. Amazon.com also lists them as 2.5 in/out. I also see some for sale that are 2 in/out. This is pretty confusing.

I couldn't agree more! Very simple, only would take 10 secs. Probably quicker than typing out this question.

True, but the truck is parked in the gutter with snow (and melting snow.) I'll measure it, though. It would be better. I'll just need to re-park it.

Should be 2.5". Pre-94 trucks were 3".

I see you have the Jet ChipII, did it enhance the performance on your truck? Also was it hard to install? Are the duals all the way from the motor or just from the muffler?
Thanks Roy
