Smile Looking for answers to problems with my dakota

Hi My name is Brenda, I am a widow and know a little about vehicles but this one has stumped me.

I have a 1987 dodge dakota pick-up 3.9L 2 b. There is gas in my oil. What caused it? Manifold leak? Can it be repaired? Should I just try to sell it?

Thank you for any help I can get

Welcome to the site. I will move this thread to the first generation Dakota section, but I would guess it is blow-by. The piston rings may not be sealing to the cylinder walls,

I agree a leaky diaphragm inside the fuel pump will cause this. Replace the manual fuel pump. After that change the oil and filter.

clean the spark plugs too... it will help to get the excess gas off in cold weather
