I have been trying to work out some stuff on my cables, and I see that this thing has a cable coming from the throttle body. the cable is really loose and I have no clue what this is. any know? and does the cable need to be tight or anything like that.

HOLY CRAP!

That is the cleanest engine compartment I have ever seen in such an old truck.

Mine is a '95 and I am scared to clean it up for fear the rust holding it together will go away.

 

thats about what myne looks like. the down side is the oil thats not all over the place works as a good rust preventitave

I live in Sunny San Diego so we dont have too much rust issues, unless you live by the coast. No rust belt for me.

 

i live 10 miles from the coast in Nova Scotia and they love to put salt on the roads in the winter, double wammy. i was terrified to scrape the grease off.
by the way i fail to see the humour ddgdt96. you guys do once a year waxes, we do once a year body jobs. lol

 

Actually we only get rain few times a year, I tend to not wax but once a year.
