v6 to v8 torsin bar help
im sorry 4 all the questions guys but i don't have the money or the tools to do alot of stuff to lift my dakota but can any 1 tell me if changing the v6 bars to the v8 bars work and if they had to do any modifications too thanks
The Rams don't have torsion bars, 4wd or 2wd. 92-96 Dakota 4wd V8 torsion bars will work (2wd doesn't have torsion bars). Try the Junkyard. www.ebay.com has good prices on lift keys. $60 or so.

I believe they still work. Double check this site, he installed the full suspension kit on a 89 when it is for 91-96. Also the V8 torsion bars would be 91-96.

If you get v8 torsion bars you can get about 2" lift but it will also ride harder as the v8 torsion bars have a higher spring rate. I have heavy duty v8 torsion bars on my 94 v6 with 2" blocks in the rear and my truck sits level even with a winch on front.
