I've decided to do it, however, I'm going to wait until I pull the bed, and fenders, makes life easier.

jk jk, though all together nice truck, aswell I could not find buckets seats up where I live, thinking of resorting to second gen seats though they have to be nice and black to sorta match the interior. Good luck with your build.Quote:

Well y'all figured me out, I secretly long for him
I'm thinking I could start a buisness here. "George's 1st Gen Dakota Bucket Seat Shop" I would have a very small market focus however. Lol
Anyways,
Got the go ahead to use my mom's garage for the build this summer! (This is a big deal as my mother is one of the crazy clean/neat types, ie. if a tool is left in the yard, I will get a phone call about it) Plus one of the guys I've wrenched with forever has his own lift, that I can use (Alon with 35 years of wrenching knowlege)
Its lookin good boys!
Hey guys,
So, Did a little tuning up today.
Replaced the plugs, wires/cap are new (By Previous owner), More on this later.
Changed the oil. (Peak 10W-30, STP Filter)
Greased the front end
New front rotors/pads
Repacked the wheel bearings. New dust seals, obviously.
So about those plugs. I said, hmmm, odd the the P.O would replace the wires/Dist. with some really nice MSD stuff, but not do the old crusty plugs. Well I know know why. ******* stripped 6 out of 8 of the things. Like nothing to bite onto, nothing!!!!! After messing around, my and my friend used some wire inside of a socket, and banged that on. The one (Pass side front) Was the worst. Kept spinning. FINALLY got it to come off, these plugs were Super old. Got pics of some, that bad one literally disinigrated, wish I could have got a pic of that.
Used the Autolite 3923's. Running good!

I've only had the truck 6 months, but I'm kicking myself for letting it go that long!

Got a rust free tailgate today!!!!
Thats a big deal in the Junkyards up here. So happy. It was a black matching one, on a blue truck! What are the odds?
Also spend 40 minutes pulling a fender that was super clean, to find that the upper inner part was rotted. Oh well at least a got a nice gate.
Pics later!
