Default Fuel Lines at Tank ( add on ?)

1990 3.9 V6
going to do the dreaded remove the bed to fix sending unit. I went to local napa to get the plastic retainers/clip that hold the fuel line to the pump that so many say break when removing. Napa could not help me, they did not know which one to sell me. can i use a small radiator type clamp instead? 1/2" or something i can get at hardware store. want to have on hand when i do the job, have not started yet so i can't see what it looks like now.

Is it easier to take the box off or to drop the tank?

if your doing the job your self, drop the tank , its not that bad , ive done it 4-5 times now, i found it easyer to remove the drive shaft to have more room.

on a 1990, you should be alright with zip ties or hose clamps because the fuel pump only puts out 13 PSI, if it were a 1992-Magnum, no because it makes around 40 PSI. The only reason it wouldn't work for you would be if you had plastic fuel line fittings, but if it's rubber, shouldn't have any problems.

that's interesting that you said that shadow, Chrysler must have made some changes from 93 and 95 because when I replaced my fuel pump, I have plastic connectors at the fuel pump and it's been my experience that if that breaks, you're in big trouble and have to make a trip to a junkyard because the dealer doesn't carry it.
