i bought this truck and it had an odor in it but i figured i would shampoo the whole inside and that would take care of it. the seats and rug were dirty but after i was done and let it dry it was still there. i took out the rug for the winter and it is still there. has anyone had a musty odor in there truck and if you did what was the fix? i used a scope with a camera in the vents but didn't see anything unordinary. thank you for any help. it is a good truck and i would hate to sell it because of an odor but it will get worse as the weather heats up.

Headliner, inside the seats, the vents, the heater core, the carpet are all subject to odors. Hopefully, you are not using Febreeze, as it will become musty when exposed to sunlight. I have removed the carpet to wash it in many vehicles. The adhesive between the Jute and the carpet/vinyl are what gives that new car smell.

Get one of these and set it off in there. Did it with my old Jeep to get rid of the smokers smell in it

you can also find an auto reconditioner that should be able to help. I used to do that and can get the smell out of almost anything. They usually work with the local used car dealers.

Take off the cover for your heater/ac fan. I picked giant handfuls of smelly junk out of that area...
