Cool! For 37's you may want a lower ratio than 4.10. What is your plans for time? What is your plan for mounting it ect?

well i think 4.10s are ok. thats no big deal right now. For time I have this whole summer. theres alot to do. i got looking on the mounts of my dads truck and it looks as if i can grind the rivets off and make a frontcroass bar and mount to that. as for the back of the front they will mount to the frame.

It was kinda cool. because on the way to the junkyard . my dad said i was nuts for wanted to do this swap. once he knew they were 4.10 and saw how good the shape of the underside is. the whole way home he was thinking of ideas.

More to come going to try and get it home this weekend.

i get off school on the 10th so the real cutting starts the 11th.

WELL IT was a long day but the chassis is home after the dolly kicked out from the truck when we loaded it. Then the rear drums were locked up. after three times of having to stop and bang the drums to get them to roll she finally just rolled on home. we left about a half mile long tire slide. was really cool and smelled sweat...... But once we got home we jumped from my dads truck and saw the tranny draning fuild on the drive way... My heart dropped. and my dad said it wasn't his day.. we had no clue how that could has happen. maybe it was like that and just from towing it moved the fuild around. idk. going to get tranny sometime this week..

ok on to pics frist two show crack tranny.

Damn that sucks. Did you put the transfercase or transmission into neutral before towing? It is best to remove the driveshaft to make sure you don't mess things up. Are you sure it was the drums that seized up?

Oh and double posts. I can delete one just you choose which one, just edit it and say DELETE.
