Exclamation HELP!! No Start Issue!!

I need your guys help BIG time. I need to get to work tomorrow.

So what happened was I was sitting at a light and it just died on me. After a few tries it would start and I had to give it a bit of gas to get it to stay running but even then it would die off...

It has a new fuel pump as of last year and seems to be getting fuel. I cant hear the fuel pump kick in but it makes some hissing noises under the air filter.

Tried the spark test with a screw driver and nothing. So Im thinking Im not getting spark?

The main splice is really corroded but not sure if that would make a difference.

HELP!!

I'm not to sure on which splice exactly your talking about but my guess it is very possible that is your problem. It shouldn't take to long to fix it to double check it. Any check engine light codes?

If you didn't find it yet turn on and off the ignition switch 3 times leave on ON and read the flashes of the check engine light.

Well I tried the 3 turns and left the ignition to on and nothing. I also connected my scan tool and it said not able to connect.

Also the distributor cap is really arced out on the inside...

(I redid the splice and did not help too...)

Sounds like your not getting power to the pcm. Do you have the check engine light come on when you first turn the key on?

Since one splice is bad it sounds like the others may be bad as well there are 3 typical bad splices. Pics are inside this thread. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ml#post1678925
