Default 92 computer bad?? anyway to test??

My 92 has no spark, and we cannot can any sort of signal or anything out of the wire that comes from the computer and plugs into the coil. We have tested continuity and the wire is good so it must be the computer not sending a signal. I was wondering if I could swap in a new computer that is know good and see if that fixes the issue. Then maybe I could have the compter repair or something, probably replace it.

The wire from the PCM to the coil is a ground wire, probe the wire with a test light with the "ground" lead on a 12v source, the test light should flash when cranking. The coil gets 12v power from the ASD relay, the ASD relay energizes for 3 seconds when key power is first applied, the cam sensor when the motor turns over then energizes the ASD relay to energize the coil and injectors so the engine runs.

So a bad cam sensor could also be an issue? I have had a couple people tell me cam and a couple crank sensor. Where does the other wire come from? Does that come directly from the ASD relay?

The ASD relay is triggered from the PCM, for 3 seconds initially and when it sees a cam signal.

Verify you're getting contant 12v power to the positive coil wire when cranking. As I said the negative wire that goes to the PCM is a grounding wire, it's connection to ground is pulsated to fire the coil.

And to add, the camshaft and crankshaft sensors both effect spark, and a bad sensor or the computer not receiving readings, can lead to a no-spark condition.
