1993 5.2L 4x4 supercharger project
First off I would like to say hello to everyone!
I am a 29 year old electrician / audio engineer / renewable energy company owner (solar, wind and led lighting) located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I currently own a lightly modified 2007 Subaru Impreza, with the following done to it.
Rallitek AP With a Custom tune by Airboy in Calgary
Grounding kit
CAI
UEL Headers custom mid pipe and a 40 series flow-master muffler
Perrin 25 mil sways (front and rear)
Tanabe 210 springs
Spherical End-links in the front and cobb (?) End-links at the rear.
The car has 120,xxx km on it.

I also just picked up a 1993 dodge dakota 4x4 with the 5.2 (needs a tq converter, but it has a new crate moter, new rear-end and new transfer case + I got it for $350)
I should also mention that about 5 years ago I owned a 1994 dakota rwd 5.2 as well.
So as you can see I am not a complete newbie when it comes to modding cars/trucks.
Also because I have the Subaru as my daily driver, downtime is not a big issue.
And now for the good part, what I want to do to the truck.
SUPERCHARGE IT!!!
I got a new Magnacharger mp 112 supercharger from a private source for around $100 (including S/H and duty) here is the website for the supercharger http://www.magnusonproducts.com/mp112.htm

I will admit that I have never supercharged a truck before, so this will be a big learning experience for me. I have done some mods to the 5.2 in the past BUT nothing like this. So I will be looking for lots of help.
"My goals"
1. 325-375 whp
2. Spending $1000 or less to make it work.
3. Some sort of reliablity.
4. To keep it fun.
So here is the part where everyone reading this comes in. I will be asking tons of questions, MOST of them stupid, please try not to get too frustrated with me.
Also what I want to do is document every step so that others in the future can supercharge there 5.2's
Thanks for reading

So it is just the supercharger? Or does it have the intake made for Magnum engines included, if not I'm not to sure anyone makes a Magnum engine specific intake for a root stye supercharger.
But I'm interested in this thread. Post up pics!

I don't have a intake for the supercharger but I was thinking of grabing one off of a jeep grand Cherokee from a similar year and fabing up that. I also plan on intercooling it as well (?) depending on what any tuners can tell me.
Check out the Indy Modman intake. I know a guy who is working on making a kit to bolt his Kenne Belle onto a Modman. Intercooling with a PD blower is dangerous, if you blow off a boost hose you will go full throttle. And there simply isn't room in the valley for an under-blower intercooler. How are you planning on tuning it? Unless you've really got some fab skills I don't see $1000 going too far.
