I use one like this. The more you turn the tighter it grips. Hasnt let me down yet, but did have me worried once.

Those Oil filter socket attachments that Hammer suggested are great I had one for my 98 Dak. But the 318 on the 93 has absolutely no spot to attach that sucker. I just use one of the filter strap wrenchs and attack it from the top working around the header. Easiest way I've found lol.

Ya I got those sockets for the oil filter too. They work great. I also got the adjustable wrench on listed above but never used it.

That is why I pay someone to change my oil. $30 and I get oil, anti freeze, washer fluid, brake fluid, diff fluid, tranny fluid (all fluids topped off) a clean windshield, newspaper, tire pressure checked, all my lights checked, plus they will top it off for free up to 500 miles past 3k (I go every 6). And if they mess it up, they fix it.

And no greasy hands.

I'm always scared of the 16 year old Walmart or Jiffy Lube has working and they forget to tighten the drain plug and you loose all your oil and the shop wont pay ect. I hear all these horror stories, I don't trust them.

I wouldn't put that cheap oil in my lawn mower, not to mention something I drive daily. 6k miles on conventional oil!!!??? You sir are a braver man than me. I only go 4k, and my oil is 10 bucks a quart, high quality synthetic. But my rigs are also my hobbies. If it's working for ya..

+1 to that I worked at a shell rapid lube for awhile I was the guy working in the pit but the dude up top would never put in the correct amount of oil always low or high or even worse sometimes started motor B4 putting in oil. They put the wrong viscosity's in to one time they put 5W-30 in a Diesel meant fo 15W-40
