Default Ignition coil

how do you replace the ignition coil on a 1993 5.2? looks to be simple but i want to make sure what to expect

Unplug the wires and remove the 2 bolts that hold it down. 5mins.

i looked at some videos on youtube its a lot easier then i had thought, i dont want to put a OEM one on, what brand would you suggest? i was thinkin about an MSD coil which i can get for 49.99 at oriellys

MSD is usually a trusted brand, but for some reason MSD coils for the Magnum engines are junk.
My MSD coil only lasted a month tops before it left me stranded somewhere. Tons of others have the same problem with them.

I got Accel high output coil it has lasted 8-9 years.

If you got the money upgrade the cap and rotor and wires and plugs use all performance parts. If you use stock style replacements your not getting the High output/performance out of the coil.

Accels typically don't last either, yours sounds like the exception to the rule.

When it comes to the coil, OEM is fine.

what do you guys think of Duralast products, i have had good experience with their products and it is cheaper then MSD and ACCEL
