Default Some advice on lifting.

I have a 95 2 wheel drive Dakota and it's close to impossible to find things to lift it. Pretty much what I read on here was that I need two 1in. coil spring spacers and an Add a Leaf in the backs and that will give me 2 inches of lift. Can anyone agree on that? Also I was reading about having to make a spacer for the steering shaft. How do I do that? and Lastly, If I do lift it 2 inches, will I be able to fit 31s on it and will said 31s fit on the stock rims? I'm new to whole suspension world haha

Yes coil spacers (2 1inch spacers each side) and AAL 2in to lift the suspension 2in.

On the steering shaft extension it is needed for using the 4wd 2in body kit on the 2wd.

The Body kit lifts the body an additional 2in. Total 4in for under $200.
Yes with 4in you can fit 31's. Yes they will fit on the stock rims.

A few points to know about going to a larger tire size without changing the rearend gears, the speedometer will be off and MPG and HP will go down slightly.

Not sure if you'll need 1 inch or 2 inch spacers up front but otherwise you're good. I THINK the steering shaft will be okay without any spacer..I THINK lol. But yes with that 2 inch lift you can fit 31s and yes you can on the stock rims. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

Damn you, Crazy lol. But quick question now..why is the steering extension needed for the 4wd body lift on a 2wd? Just curious.

Excellent. Thanks for the response guys. I think I only have one more question haha I found some nice tires, General Grabber HTS 265/70/16. Will these fit without issues such as rubbing?

The steering shaft on 4wd has enough slip to extend out enough. But the 2wd steering shaft does not. I guess they don't want to be liable for someone incorrectly cutting and welding in a spacer. So they market the kit for 4wd only! But it will work just fine on 2wd like I mentioned. Just got to follow the other modifications the kit lists.

Sure that will be fine, but stock rims are not 16in.
