Hello! I've got an '89 Dodge Dakota with the 2.5 4 cylinder. My dad bought this truck in '92 and has always wanted to put a 318 in it. He had to sell it a few years back and fortunately I was able to buy it back a few months ago. It still has my high school parking sticker on the windshield! Any suggestions and guidance with an engine swap will be welcomed! I have a 318 out of a '91 Dakota.

Any info on a v8 swap will be here: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ion-ideas.html

However, I'm not sure if 4 cyl to v8 is covered. I have a pretty good feeling that you may have to switch out a bunch of the wiring, but I'm not sure, so wait for someone with more info to chime in if that doesn't help
