Default 1994 5.2l v-8 runs rough and sputters under load and wont go past 3000rpm

i have replaced the camposition sensor and check crankshaft sensor and also replaced distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, and plugs also coil off of a friends truck and put mine on his no difference on either truck. i have check fuel pump pressure and it is 40psi and did the math to figure out flow per minute and it is 1.75 liters a minutes or .666666 gallon per minute and it had10 seconds to spare. the engine idles smooth and pops out exhaust and under load climbing a hill no matter how short or long or slope it bucks andsputters and i have to downshift to make it better. i am at a lose and ideas welcomed.

By popping I'm assuming it is pinging, as in predetonation, which is common under load at mid-high RPMS. Lower range spark plugs help, like Autolite 3923. Also premium gas.

The main cause of pinging is a bad intake manifold plenum gasket. Check down into the intake and look for oil. If there is some you have a bad gasket.

I would check for exhaust restriction. A clogged catalytic converter will cause a loss of power and if it's bad enough, misfiring. To check for a restricted exhaust, get a vacuum gauge; while the engine's idling, it should be around 17-21 inHg at idle. As you open the throttle, it should increase to around 22-24 inHg. If it doesn't increase and steadily drops, you definitely have a restricted exhaust.
