Default EXtra Space for Speakers!

so i was messing around in my dak and i found some space where the seat belts are attached to the side wall, take off that plastic panel and you'll see what i mean, its about 5 inches deep and 4 inches wide and 14 inches tall and i plan on building a box for 2 three inch speakers, i want subs but i cant find 3 inch subs anywhere, if they do make them please hook me up with a link lol

There are no 3" subs. 3" speakers you will find, are mostly tweeters, maybe some small mids. Pretty sure they're 3.5" also, never seen 3".
You want speaker room? Why not between the seat back and the back of the cab? There's several inches there.

in my turck i curently have 2 12" subs one rockfordfosgate hd2 behind the seat and one in the passenger floor board fosgate hx2 2 6x9s in boxes behind the seat mtx 2 6x8 in the pillars clarions and 2 6 1/2 in the doors in my 89.
i dont see how much different your truck could be but couldnt you fit 6x9s in the pillar to hit the mids instead of the 3" tweeters?

okay so you didnt remove the plastic and place the speakers under it in the pillar so the plastic hides it? you just screwed it into the plastic? you have pics?

If i had the choice i would've made 6x9's fit in the back but i got 6x8's for christmas the first year i had the truck. Right now im in the process of putting a Sundown SA-8 in there.

Still working on finishing the box then im gonna swap the bench seat out for the split seat out of the parts truck to get me the extra room for the box...400+ watts to an 8 inch sub...its gonna get loud as heck in there and could possibly beat out most 12 inch subs out there
