For those parts I'd hit up the pick-and-pulls, and junk yards. Nice buy by the way. I haven't seen too many with the 8 ft bed.

Yea I really like the long bed... It def makes things nice.

I've actually owned the truck for about 7 years now and the truck has been great minus the mpg. I've always had this issue with the truck. it has a hard time getting started ( cold or hot) Ive done all the major tune up things and nothing. Any ideas? Ive had help with this before... I've had a buddy look down in the throttle body (tbi) as I was turning it over and it will just spin over untill the truck decides it wants to run then it will shoot fuel and run fine... It just takes about 15 to 25 rotations. Kinda imbarrasing. It does this about 3 out of 5 times. So not all the time. What I have noticed it does start up very easy once after just filled with fuel.

Sorry if this is hard to read... I'm on my phone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try turning the key to ON several times for 10 seconds each before you start the engine, let the fuel pump prime up. See if that helps.

I found my bed, and my factory '99 Dakota wheels on Craigs list. Just put "Dakota" in auto parts. I have also seen a visor, front & rear bumpers, tailgates etc. on CL for first gen Dakotas. I even found a few complete trucks for under $800. in the cars and trucks section. One was at a dealer with minor front end damage and a few were 'Needs fuel pump" or "won't start and don't have money to fix" adds.

By the way, your Dakota is nice. Looks good.
