Default 1989 dakota TPS, O/D, and electrical issue ?

hello i have a 1989 dodge dakota with a suspected faulty tps sensor, i tested it the other day reading 1.50 ohms at normal position with the switch at run position. is that normal ? ive seen others at 2.50

also the truck has no 3-4 shift witch overdrive is 4th gear.

ive replaced the overdrive switch
all sensors are good besides the tps
wich brings up code 24** tps is out of range

The OD problem could be a bad fuse to a bad Vehicle speed sensor.
As for the TPS, most autoparts stores can test it for free, they will have the specs.

here are the three codes that i pulled up

34* Speed control vacuum or vent circuit short or open condition detected OR speed control switch input outside accepted range

22** Engine coolant temp sensor signal outside the acceptable range

24** Throttle Position sensor signal outside acceptable range

overdrive fuse is good i checked it in the fuse box.
temp sensor was replaced, so i just have the tps sensor haunting me, and it wont go into overdrive

As Crazy says, get TPS checked at auto parts store. On our 89 O/D was inop, cruise control inop also and gave no codes.Replaced CPU from a junk truck , that fixed it all. Note CPU from NAPA was trash!
