wheel and tire question

Default wheel and tire question

i want to switch my 15in rims to the 2001-2004 durango 16in rims and i wanted to put 31x10.5 on them this raises 2 questions for me

1. will this fit under my 1996 slt without a lift?
2. were can i find 31x10.5x16r all i can find are for 15in rims

Look for some 265/75/16 that'll be close.

wow, when I was looking for 31x10.50R15 all I found was 16"...
If you have a 4x4 it should fit no problem. And yes, 265/75R16 is equivalent to 31x10.50.
Also, when you have them on the truck, please post some pictures. I'd love to see it.

31x10.50 does not exist for 16 inch rims. but if you check the metric numbers for a 16 inch you can come close. the problem is they made the rims larger and the tires shorter and wider. it's like they don't know what snow is. just do the conversion.

Where is that coming from? Haha I've seen 31x10.50 for 16s and just a simple Google search provides plenty of results.

^He's right, there are 31x10.50's for 16" rims, I have found plenty used.

im still hunting for the rims i lost the auction i was bidding on on ebay who woulda thought stock durango rims were this hard to comeby for sale in good shape

well i cant find a decent set of the 16s for sale locally near me so im gunna settle for the 15s and go with the 31x10.5 so i can get on the beach (besides the tires on there now are near the end of there life) so hopfully i will have them on in the next few weeks or so if i can get the wheels and get the tires shipped out in a timley fashion here are the tires i have picked out used to have them on my 01 grand cherrokee and they got me threw everything i put them threw
