Where are the ASD and Fuel Pump Relay's located? cut off all the electrical tape to look to see if there is any corrosion on the splices and there wasnt any just a little bit of dirt and residue from the old tape. I want to check those two relays to see if they are getting power. Are they going to have the 4 prong relay? and if so what voltage should i be reading at each prong?

 

Any ideas?

 

i have no idea. havent messed with the fuel pumps on these trucks yet. maybe take a glance through the service manual ?? i usually look there first and ask questions later if i dont see the answer im looking for.

 

i dont have a factory SM because i bought the truck from a junkyard and wasnt a manual in the truck. I checked through the online manuals that are given in the FAQ section and couldnt find anything on the ASD relay. So i have looked before i posted my question. I am goin to Look at ALLDATA at school tomorrow to see if i can find anything on there

 

They are both in the PDC under the hood, the FSM in the FAQ will have the testing procedures for both.

 

i could be wrong but i think the manuals here are factory service manuals. pretty sure they cover every inch of the truck, although i havent a clue what a ASD relay is so maybe its not in the manual

 

They are covered in the FSM, your truck is a 1993 so the manual for the '94 is the closest. The ASD relay is the Automatic ShutDown Relay.

 

I Checked ALDATA at school this morning and got the location of each relay, and some testing instructions. I will have to look at the 94 manual, thanks for the replies
