well for now im thinking that i need a limited slip or locker in the rear and a manual trans before i go and turn it to 4x4 i have some questions
1. what vehicles have a limited slip or posi stock that would hook straight up to my truck and take the brake stuff from my truck.
2. can i use a 4x4 manual trans without a transfer case

To test for an LSD, jack it up and spin a wheel. If the other spins the same way, it's an LSD. If they spin opposite directions its an open diff. You can also run the last 8 digits of the VIN through the dodge website (link is in the FAQ) and they'll give you a build sheet in a day or two that says if it's an LSD or not.

Your best bet would be to go and write down the VINs, then run them through Dodge's build sheet request form. Or maybe the VIN Decoder will show what axle type is in the truck, that would be quicker if it does show axles.
My build sheet came back with "DSA Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle", which would be what you are looking for.

This is how! Or remove the cover.
