Well I think I have made up my mind and I think im going to convert my 1989 3.9L 2wd to 4wd Solid axle manual transmission all at once. I have some questions like what parts do I need I ll make a list and tell me what Im missing please.

Parts:
Manual Trans
clutch pedal set up
flywheel
clutch
slave cylinder
clutch master cylinder
Transfer case
both drive shafts
front Dana 44
leaf springs shocks

So what Have I missed and I want it to be about as tall as this

you need the shifter to go in 4wd, the transfer case will have the linkage connecting to it

Youll also need some sort of way to connect the steering components. However you choose to do it. Thats all I can think about right now. I want to put a solid axle under my truck too. Just gotta get my car running then I can tear it apart.

I know your not getting those axles, but they wouldn't work, at least not the front one. You will need a driver side differential to match the trasfercase unless you use something that has a passenger side drop which is not typical for our year parts.

For the steering you will need a completely new system, 2wd use a rack and pinion system which will not work so well up on the frame with the axle below. The 4wd gear box will work for this job.

What type of suspension will you be setting up for the front? Leaf springs? Coils? 4 link? 3 link?

What might be better then the Dakota 4wd steering box is the Ram's.

For the leaf springs you will need to figure out how/where to mount them, you will need spring perches and hangers and mounts U-bolts and backing plates then figure out what size shocks you'll need once you find your suspension travels lengths.
