anyone install a set? have already completely eliminated a/c ( modified bracket) alternator pulley looks bigger than stock- would underdrive or overdrive it? i know on some kits they give u a option to overdrive the alternator to get charging amps back up if running aftermarket lights, hi power stereos etc.. current belt routing looks a little tight- may have to reroute it differently- belts looks too tight between alternator pulley and idler pulley next to it, thanks

 

I'm assuming your trying to gain some HP correct?

In my opinion they are not worth it. Along with the alternator it can affect your water pump performance so cooling is affected as well as power steering which can be a struggle at idle.

 

I've never had bad luck with underdrive pulleys, have used on 4, 6 and 8 cylinder vehicles.. this is my first Dodge I've ever owned though.. they have sub-par electrical and cooling systems??

 

No, however I agree, not a good choice. I have heard of many, some work, some dont. My only experience is on my friends mustang... It didn't work too well. Ran hot and didn't charge at idle/in town.
They give VERY minimal performance vs the possible down sides, and they are fairly expensive to find out you can't use them.
