Okay, problem is still NOT FIXED. The truck runs great in the afternoon. I warm up the truck in the morning (6am), the check engine light comes on (code 27@injector 5), I drive the truck 3 miles (still on). I then park it at a friends house, go to work, and when I get back to the truck (around 3:30-4) no Check Engine light and the truck runs fine all the way home - and continues to do so...

Any thoughts on what could cause this? Thanks.

He hasn't been around for 7 years..... but, swap the injector with another one, see if the problem follow the injector.

I have swapped them around, few times, the signal to it is inconsistent, works then it stops working on injector 3, had same problem on injector 7 before but the problem stopped completely and now it started on #3.

Check connections at the PCM. Make sure they are clean, and tight.
