i wanna put buckets in my 91 dak, called my local junkyard and they only have 96 cherokee sport would those buckets work just like Motorcharge's, what other years would work like his, junkyard wants $40 a piece you pull
Manual seats are all the same from 84-96 in Cherokees. Personally I'd go with leather seats from a 99-04 (WJ) Grand Cherokee. I still might at some point, the dimensions are similar.
Just bear in mind I had to weld in a stud and weld the rear mount to the floor.
Well, this will be my final update as I'm getting rid of the Dakota here soon. Picked up a 92 Cherokee this afternoon and I'm swapping everything into that before selling the Dak.

Aww man, i just sucribed thinking some one else was going to fix up their truck and clean up the old six banger, well good luck man, it was a nice build while it lasted.
Sorry bud. If converting to 4x4 wasn't such a pain and aftermarket support wasn't so scarce I'd have probably kept it. But damn near everything I'd planned on doing was making it look more and more like converting a Dakota into a damn Cherokee anyway.
If anyone is interested in the build thread for the Jeep, here's a link.
It will be a couple weeks before I do anything major to it like lifting it or painting it, but it should get pretty damn interesting over the next couple months. Lots of custom fabrication work coming up on it.
I actually decided to keep it as a back up til next year since I'd just renewed the tags and everything. It's pretty much back to stock from everything I'd done to it but I'll update if anything changes.
