I was thinking about putting some Gen II mirrors on my '95. I like having the bigger mirrors to see out of, but the annoyance of always having to reset them because they get bumped or after a car wash (I have the 6x9's). I am wondering if the newer generation mirrors in a similar size, but are fixed in place or even break-aways would fit my truck. Has anyone tried this? If not, I will be the first. Post up, I want to know if I am wasting my time.

 

It is possible, my guess is the bolt pattern is universal. I would say take a trip to the junkyard and take a tape measure and see. You can tighten up the 6x9's.

 

I know someone has done it but I don't have a picture at the moment.

 

I remember some post a way back about that. I'll have to do some searching to find it. If mine will tighten up, I may just do that. I think the truck would look better with some fixed black mirrors, but I just can't see squat out of them.
