Default headliner

well i started looking for a headliner for my other car the oter day and got distracted by different colors and styles and ended up buying new fabric for the headliner for my dakota this seems to be fairly easy to do. is there any little tricks i should know like what glue i should use or any hidden fasteners holding up the headliner?

Crc spray adhesive, its what we use at the dealership and it works great. I redid mine in black pleather and it holds that great.

Spray both the fabric and board and let it sit for 5 min before applying the liner, it wont leave finger/handprints that way.

To get the old crap off the board I found the brush tool on my vacuum worked great and reduced the mess big time.

A few months now, but we use it all the time at work and in the year I've been there I haven't seen anyone come back to have it redone, it's supposed to be the same stuff the factories use.

next time ill look for it i went to a few stores and read way to many can lables and the only one that seemed decent was loctite 300 it was the only one that said it was both heat and water resistant and is rated for heavy weight bonding so i will give it a shot and i will post pictures up before and after and let you know how i think the stuff works. my new headliner should be here tomorrow so hopfully i should have the headliner in on sunday

Napa carries it and just about any real dealership's parts department should carry it. Iirc it's around $8 a can, more than enough to do a couple headliners.
