Default Windshield wiper problem

Ok, I am goin to school to be a mecahinc and i haven't done much with electrical and switches and all that. So, I have a 94 Dodge Dakota and the windshield wipers are not working and yesterday they were working fine. I checked the fuses and they don't look blown at all but i know sometimes the could be blown and they look like they aren't blown. the switch seems to be working fine and all the connections are connected like they should be. Any ideas before I tear apart my truck to find whats wrong. thank you

I would test for power at the fuse as well as at the motor.

A little tip for checking fuses. Leave the fuse in place if possible and measure voltage across the ends of the fuse terminals and if you have voltage then you have a bad fuse. It is possible to have a slightly blown fuse and if you check it using ohms then it will show good because there is a small amount still touching but not enough to allow proper current flow. Hope this jelps and saves you alot of headaches. Ive got 4 years of electronics and i have been burnt so bad cause of a fuse so dont feel bad.

The multifunction switch is pretty reliable, good thing 'cause it costs an arm and a leg. Does the fluid pump squirt? If so, the fuse is fine. Check for power at the motor with the wipers on low or high, not intermittent. If you find power, and the ground wire or strap is clean and intact, you need a motor (fifty bucks). They (the motors) have a circuit breaker that opens up and often does not close again when overheated.
You'll need to remove the cowl to replace the motor. Be very careful you don't break the fluid nozzles when removing the hoses. While you have the cowl open, clean the bushel of leaf litter and crap out that probably caused the motor to burn up in the first place. This will often end water coming into the cab because the litter has dammed up the drain passages which also can cause the fenders and rocker panels to rust out.

This happened to me the other day, I thought motor was gone. Turns out it wasn't, it is a Quiet part so I couldn't hear it operate when I turned it on from inside cab. First off see if the motor works by reaching into the cab and turning them on while either looking down cowl area or listening/ feeling the motor, second can you move the wipers by hand?, If so you got a bad bushing.
