Idle @ 400
I'm going to clean the throttle body out later and see if I can't get that idle speed right.
I actually kinda like it to idle that low, but is it bad for the engine? Right now it's like having a half manual half automatic.

Guessing you have an auto? Does it stumble? Does it not "like" the idle that low? Could your tach be off? My 95 3.9l manual idles that low, not a problem for me, it doesn't mind it. However I kinda think its just the tach reading wrong, maybe someday I'll put the handheld on it to double check.
Idle that low can be normal once warmed up. It just depends on how the motor feels. Does it stumble like said above or shake or feel like its going to die?
I know like said above mine also can idle that low, if it does it feels fine no shaking ect. It is safe for the engine if it feels smooth.

It'll stumble down to 150 or so and sometimes die out, even trying to prime it with the gas pedal won't save it from dying. Fuel filter perhaps? It's the auto trans. I got to get some of that trans fluid and do that too.
I just checked the engine codes, can anyone tell me about 13?
"No change in MAP output voltage from start to run"
I've also got to figure out my hood light and inside lights. My bulb doesnt seem broken in the hood.

Yea after looking into it.
My idle after my truck warms up is inbetween 400-500RPM.
Although I've got a 318 Auto.

Both of my 92 3.9s (one auto, one manual) idle around 600ish RPMs. I wonder if regional atmospheric conditions play a role in the idle? Despite being up north, it's very humid here most of the time.
Sorry for the lack of info, but it tries to die on me when I shift into anything other than P or N. I can bypass it by revving the engine and shifting into drive but I know that isn't good for the truck. Do I have a bad sensor somewhere? If I try to give it gas it wants to die even harder, is this a fuel line issue? My first thought is to replace the fuel filter. Hopefully not the pump.
I cleaned my throttle body a little bit, didn't take it off but it didn't do all too much. I definitely made a black toothbrush though.
Still got to change the oil + filter and the auto trans fluid. What do you guys reckon is the best motor oil? I was gonna go with the good ol Mobil 1
Also one of the lugs on the front left tire is missing, and the bolt really messed up. Is there a way to remove + replace the bolt or will I have to replace the entire thingy?
