Default Lift question

This is probably a stupid question ....

So I'm thinking of giving the Dakota a lift I was going to add a leaf I was wondering if there was something you could add to the front also to lift it a little? My dad was saying maybe adding springs from a v8 would lift it some??

For a 4wd you can crank your stock torsion bar keys to get 1-2in. Or buy indexed keys for 2-3in. All the lifting info you ever need is in the FAQ2 along with how to crank up your keys and where to buy the indexed keys.

Also, I'd say the indexed keys give you 2" max. Mine can go another inch tighter, but the bars start to bend, which I'd think is quite dangerous.

It's very simple.

Lift the truck where the suspension is unloaded.
Unbolt the U-bolts.
Drop the axle enough to clear the springs.
Place C-Clamps on the leaf pack.
Unbolt the center pin.
Remove the C-Clamp
Install the leaf at the bottom or above any leafs that are smaller.
Re-install the C-Clamp and the center pin.
Then put everything back together.

The brake lines and cables and wires and shocks and driveshaft may or may not have to be removed depending on how much room you have to lower the axle to get to the leaf springs.

I'm Currently running 30x9.5 on the stock rims but want to go 32x11.5 on some cragar soft 8s. i should be able to clear them right? the website says i can fit 33s but i want some opinions from you guys.

Currently installing the leafs

Edit... We broke a brake line..

And looks like we won't be able to install them(at home at least). the pin that goes down the center of the leaves was welded onto the stock leaf by someone.
