Sway bar mounting plates.
Does anybody have a set of the plates that the sway bar bolts to? I have a 93 2wd v6 and it didn't come equipped with a SB. the plates (?) Bolt to the inside of the frame rails just behind where the bumper corner mounts connect to the frame. Or maybe even the dimensions of the plates. Probably just 2 "L" shaped pieces of metal right?

If I remember right www.jcw.com sells complete kits for sway bars. Your next best option is your local junkyard or www.ebay.com or www.craigslist.org

Hey siggie30..........
Are we talking about the Rear sway bar here? I want to mount a rear sway bar on my 92 and 94 Dak's. But the aftermarket kits are about $200. I was looking for a cheap way to add the rear sway bar. I live near Dallas, TX and most of the pre 97 trucks have gone to the crusher. At least in the yards I've been to. Thanks for any advice.

Well, if your a purist, then I cannot help you, however, if you are able to get a Durango rear sway, then that would be my "Factory" option.

You want to be careful, mounting a sway bar from different vehicle on your truck. Sway bars are designed for each individual application and one that is too stiff will get you into trouble real quick.
After driving a rig for a while, you will be able to recognize it's tells, for when you have pushed it too hard in the corners and know when you have reached it's limits and need to back off, a sway bar designed for a heavier rig with stiffer springs and shocks will eliminate those tells and you will find that the corner you used to take at 60 will have you rig breaking loose at a much slower speed without warning, because you can't reduce body roll without reducing tire grip.
