Maybe it needs less air, not more fuel. Looking for vacuum leak seems like a good place to start.
If your good in that department, rent or buy a fuel pressure gauge and have a look at your fuel pressure.
Giving your throttle body a cleaning may not be a bad idea.
You can also get a stethoscope or jerry-rig some device and check your fuel injectors for proper operation.
I would also look at sensors like MAP, TPS, O2, and temp sensors. Get a multi-meter if you don't have one already and look up how to test them. Not all sensors throw a code when they go bad.
